The Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, has extended heartfelt congratulations to all faculty members, officers, employees, and student volunteers on the successful, peaceful, and well-organized conduct of the Pre-Entry Test 2026.
During his visit to various examination blocks and in a media talk following the inspection, Dr. Khushk lauded the collective efforts of the SALU community. “This success reflects the dedication, unity, and hard work of our entire SALU family - the faculty, officers, employees, and above all, our enthusiastic student volunteers,” he said.
The Vice Chancellor emphasized that the collective spirit of service and excellence once again proved that Shah Abdul Latif University is not just an educational institution but a community committed to progress, learning, and the bright future of our alma mater.
Dr. Khushk shared that 5,440 candidates had applied for admission against approximately 2,300 available seats, expressing satisfaction over the growing trust of society in the university. “Students come here to learn and leave to serve society. The increase in applications shows that the public values and trusts us because our faculty, officers, and employees are delivering quality education and services,” he remarked.
He further stated that the university remains dedicated to providing holistic education, including moral and ethical learning, and announced that the results of the pre-entry test would be declared in the evening.
Highlighting key achievements under his leadership, the Vice Chancellor noted that several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with national and international institutions, benefitting both students and faculty. He also revealed that scholarships worth Rs. 130 million (13 crore) were awarded to deserving students last year, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to education.
“We will not compromise on anything when it comes to students and their education. Our top priority is their academic success and well-being,” he affirmed.
Dr. Khushk appreciated the positive role of the media in promoting education, noting, “The media is playing a better role for education and an educated society.” He added that about 1,100 female students had applied for admission this year - a promising sign of growing female participation in higher education.
Concluding his remarks, he said, “If all stakeholders including the media and society work together, we can overcome every challenge. Society believes in us because this truly is Latif’s University.”
