SALU Distributes Endowment Scholarships to 72 Students.

In a significant ceremony organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs, Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, distributed scholarship cheques to 72 high-achieving students for the academic year 2022-23 under the Sindh Educational Endowment Fund (SEEF).
The event, held here at SALU, was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk.
Addressing the recipients, Dr. Khushk declared it a day of celebration and emphasized that the scholarship is a repayment of tuition fees for talented students who maintain their Grade Point Average (GPA).
He described the scholarship as a certificate from government, recognizing the students' service and talent. "This cheque is also a certificate," he stated, adding that it is a valuable addition to their resumes and a testament to their deserving status as seen by the Government.
Dr. Khushk highlighted the transformative impact of the scholarship, noting that in the past, many talented students were forced to discontinue their studies or take up jobs due to financial constraints. He assured that the Sindh government is committed to continuing and even expanding the program, with plans to increase the number of scholarships.
Dr Khushk revealed that this was the fourth such cheque distribution ceremony in a single year, with the university having distributed Rs. 8.5 crore in scholarships last year alone.
He credited the teaching faculty for shaping the students' talents and urged the recipients to respect their teachers and continue working hard to materialize their dreams.
In his welcome address, Mr. Sarfraz Korejo congratulated the lucky students and extended credit to Vice Chancellor Dr. Yousuf Khushk for his efforts in securing these scholarships, which he said were also a result of the VC's global research collaborations.
The proceedings of the event were conducted by Dr. Ali Raza Lashari.
The ceremony was attended by Director of International Relations Professor Dr. Liaquat Ali Chandio, Chairman of the Department of Mathematics Professor Dr. Hisam-Uddin Shaikh, Focal Person Professor Dr. Nazar Hussain Phulpoto, Dr Sahib Oad, and a large number of students and faculty members.
